Principal's Message

Welcome to Timbercrest Elementary School home of the TIGERS! As the new principal at Timbercrest I have already discovered what an amazing place this is; a place where faculty, staff, and families all work together to assure student success. We have a faculty and staff who always put students first. Their hearts and minds are dedicated to teaching and helping our students feel challenged, encouraged, and excited as they learn. Timbercrest is a warm and friendly school. We are dedicated to maintaining high standards for student learning and behavior. Our goal is to help your children be successful in school and acquire the skills necessary to be successful in life.

We currently have over 800 students in grades Pre-K through fifth grade. We work hard to achieve our vision which is: The belief that students will learn when:

  • There is a positive, welcoming environment where they are respected, supported by all stakeholders, and encouraged to take risks.
  • Lessons are engaging, relevant, and hands-on.
  • Instruction in meaningful, purposeful, and differentiated.
  • Feedback is immediate and specific
  • Their learning styles are individual learning timelines are respected.

We are proud to be an Olweus and (PBIS) Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support School. The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is designed to improve peer relations and make schools safer, more positive places for students to learn and develop. Goals of the program include: reducing existing bullying problems among students, preventing the development of new bullying problems, and achieving better peer relations at school. The PBIS program improves social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all students, including students with disabilities and students from underrepresented groups.
